This happened all the time back in SD during the 70’s and 80’s. The surfers used to say “IB (Imperial Beach) is a no go, the Mexican Brown Trout are running again.”
Nothing new or unusual about this at all...
I was stationed there (IB) in the late 80’s early 90’s. You speak the truth. In fact, I was at NAVCOMTELSTA San Diego / NAVRADRECFAC Imperial Beach. Good times....
