Tony Podesta has reportedly threatened Fox’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” hours after resigning from his role at the Podesta Group – a D.C. lobbying firm accused by a former executive of pedaling Russian influence along with fellow lobbyist and short-lived Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.
Last week Carlson reported that Tony Podesta is a central figure in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. Directly after his report, Carlson’s show was contacted by a former long-time executive of the Podesta Group with “direct personal knowledge” of Tony Podesta’s questionable activities, which Carlson divulged the next evening.
While the nature of Podesta’s threat has not been made public, Carlson later tweeted “We’re confident the Mueller probe will reveal a lot more about Tony Podesta’s lobbying practices in the near future.”...
...According to the former Podesta Group executive, Manafort and Tony Podesta were running a Russian influence-peddling racket up and down Washington D.C., bringing a “parade” of Russian oligarchs to congress for meetings. Believing she would win the 2016 election, Russia considered the Podesta Group’s connection to Hillary highly valuable.

Tucker was so concerned he read the whole letter on air complete with the threat that the letter was copyrighted and he couldn’t present it.
I’m sure the lawyers he consulted beforehand laughed their butts off.
Hoisted on their own petar. The Mueller investigation, staffed by hard-boiled Democrats, exposes—the Podesta Group! This is beautiful.

I did some digging and the Manafort-Ukraine news all came out within the same week.
Considering that the FBI had been monitoring / investigating Manafort since (or in) 2013, I suspect it would present some sort of giant liability if that fact wasn’t included in the intel briefing.
Also remember that Hillary received the same briefing Aug 17, 2016 - right around the same time all the Russia stuff started heating up. This is the first article I could find about Manafort and “secret ledgers,” published by the NYT three days before Trump’s intel briefing.
One thought is that they knew Trump would see the briefing and fire Manafort, so they began trotting these breadcrumbs out around the same time, then went full bore with the Trump-Russia BS. Quite frankly Manafort could have been a plant in the Trump campaign to try and ensnare him.
Tony has the same manners as his brother.
Probably the same appetite too...

We have been ‘monitoring’ elections around the world for years.
I guess when ‘we’ do it it is for the good of mankind.
I often wondered what the reaction would be if say Burma sent monitors to OUR elections.
The establishment launched two investigations based on the notion that Trump was colluding with Russia, and that Russian influence is the reason he was elected.
Why? To undermine his legitimacy as President and place an asterisk next to everything he does.
As for ‘fuss,’ We just found out from an ex-Podesta Group exec that Paul Manafort and Tony Podesta were peddling Russians up and down the hill, and Tony Podesta recommended Hillary’s chief advisor at the State Dept. for the Podesta Group - giving them a direct liason. Moreover, all those Facebook ads Russia bought to influence the election were actually meant to help Hillary (BLM activism, etc.) - and sought to *undermine* Trump after he won!
So - the ‘fuss’ is about the left accusing Trump of the exact “Russian collusion” that they themselves have been participating in for years at the highest levels.
Let’s not forget Bill Clinton was at Vladimir Putin’s HOUSE the same day he collected $500k for a speech to a Kremlin-tied investment bank which upgraded Uranium One, and that Tony Podesta was paid $180K to lobby for Uranium One *AFTER* they were wholly owned by Russia.
When I referred to fuss I was asking since ‘we’ do it, why get mad at Russia if ‘they’ did it.

There were some European election monitors that came here in 2012. They ran home screaming when they found out most states didn’t have voter ID. Needless to say, the story was not widely reported.
The letter is out there, so I don’t think that’s accurate. Or are we talking a threat beyond what was in the letter from Podesta’s lawyer?

A hot flash comes over me every time I think of these people selling off the treasures of the US to any other nation, and getting paid for it, as though that property was their own. Have any of you ever wondered why the environmentalists have blocked us from using our own resources for so long? Is it because they want those treasures kept so they can sell them off to others, in this exact manner, to enrich themselves. How is that Uranium deal not a crime because that belongs to the American people, not those elected to government offices. This is so corrupt. I have to stop thinking about it. What kind of human being does these things? I guess they do not care about the legacy they will leave behind when they are gone.
