Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore on Tuesday stood by his decades-old statement that Muslims should not be allowed to serve in Congress, Mediaite reported.
"Read my article and you'll find out what I believe," he told MSNBC reporter Garrett Haake while on the Senate floor. "It's clarified very clearly in my article."
Moore, a former Alabama chief justice, has made a number of controversial statements in the past. In 2006, he urged Congress to bar Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, from being sworn in because he would be taking his oath with his hand on a Quran and not a Bible.
"Common sense alone dictates that in the midst of a war with Islamic terrorists we should not place someone in a position of great power who shares their doctrine," Moore wrote on WorldNetDaily.com. "In 1943, we would never have allowed a member of Congress to take their oath on Mein Kampf, or someone in the 1950s to swear allegiance to the 'Communist Manifesto.' Congress has the authority and should act to prohibit Ellison from taking the congressional oath today!"

Good for him.
Which ‘rat will come out first in support of Jihad on the West Side Trail?
I stand with Roy Moore.
I seem to miss the point of the article. Future Senator Moore is correct with his statements.
???Democrats do do not think should serve, so what up?
???Democrats do do not think CHRISTIANS should serve, so what up?
Incoming. This will give the vapors to the likes of Grahmnesty.
I’m ready for him in the Senate, then White House.
Its constitutionally problematical to exclude anyone from office based on their Satanic religion. However, Given how Islam widely preaches its adherents to murder Christians and Jews and take over their countries, Id argue Islam is much more the dangerous enemy terror organization like all its many faces ( plo pa Fatah Hamas Isis alquaida hezballah Muslim Brotherhood etc). classify Islam as the danger it is not as a religion and then its religious cover revealed as the Shem it truly is, a DJT Court should be able to uphold the ban.
Im ready for him in the Senate, then White House.
That would be nice. But he is 70 yrs old. After 8 yrs of POTUS DJT, Roy Moore will be 78.
The tragic event in New York City should refocus the people of this country on the salient fact that the Muslim faith, as presently practiced according to the strict interpretation of the Quran, brings with it unacceptable risks to our Judeo-Christian core. Muslims have shown century after century, since the founding of their “religion,” that they are bent forcing the world to “exclusively worship Allah,” and killing everyone who fails to yield to it. I know that in one sense, we would be throwing out some people who are not radical in their beliefs, but until we rid ourselves of ALL of them, we will continue to be killed by them here. And what really perturbs me, is how the Left has gone about,in it’s insideous way, in it’s attempts to interfere legally with President Trump’s edicts to try, as best he can, to keep Muslim “refugees” from being brought here and settled.
[Its constitutionally problematical to exclude anyone from office based on their Satanic religion]
ISLAM is not a religion, but a world system whose intent is world dominance. Its beliefs do not line up with the U.S. Constitution.
We aren’t allowed a religion test (unless I guess you are a Catholic judge) but I agree with him anyway ‘cause Islam is more than a religion - it’s a murderous political ideology.
Best way to keep them out imo is not to vote them in. I’m looking at you, Michigan.
Agreed.
Keith Ellison, half-black nationalist, should be barred for openly supporting Palestinian terrorist groups.
Roy Moore is good people.
AMEN!!!!!
Yeay for common sense
Islam is an ideology that promotes the murder of innocent people and therefor following that ideology means that the person who does so is unfit to hold office.
