ABC News and other media outlets named the suspect as Sayfullo Saipov of Tampa, Florida. According to CBS News, the terror suspect is “Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, apparently from Uzbekistan.” He is an Uzbek national who was not born in the United States, according to NBC. Online records show he worked as a truck driver.
