But is there evidence that Trump knew about it at the time? highly doubtful. hence, no conspiracy. no aiding/abetting. No misprision
Well Prosecutors doing nothing but prosecute and if they have no crimes then they cook them up...as you can break the law by sleeping in bed...Robertson is partly right, pardon people as they are indicated...
The lamest ever was Fitz, who indicted Libby for lying to the FBI and Grand Jury about conversations he had with reporters, years ago. There was no underlying crime, so it was a ridiculous exercise (though obviously, not for Scooter Libby who lost his career and reputation as a result).
Mueller has already hit pay dirt with this indictment. He's got his scalp, and it looks to be a very legit one, in that Manafort was clearly a tax cheat. In a way, that's good for Trump - Mueller won't have to keep searching for someone, anyone, to convict of something, anything as Patrick Fitzgerald did with Libby.
The guilty of lying to the FBI plea that they got from the 30 year old dude is more worrisome for Trump, it is, at least vaguely campaign related.
But my overall sense is that none of those involved can flip on Trump because they don't know anything because, as Trump as said repeatedly, NOTHING HAPPENED.
” if 12-year-old paperwork violations are enough to get someone arrested, then 9-figure bribes to the Secretary of State should be promptly investigated and the guilty hanged.’
Why not? A blanket pardon to side rail a criminal rogue prosecutor on a blanket investigation.
Mueller is a punk and a criminal.
A conviction must be made before a pardon
Incorrect. As when Ford pardoned Nixon.
This isn’t his place to squeak up. Stick to praising the Lord.
“Now, Therefore, I, Gerald R. Ford, President of the United States, pursuant to the pardon power conferred upon me by Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 20, 1969 through August 9, 1974.”
It looks like Papadopoulos already has.
Taking your own advice is another option for you too.
True. His opinion is ill informed though, and I hope Trump and his team know that.
Trump will do what Trump does best and that is to confound the press and his political opponents.
He's already several steps ahead of their thinking process.
How they can not see this themselves is confounding to me. Because I see it as clear as day.
Sorry, that is the worse advice ever.
We know there is no there there.
We also know all roads lead to Hillary, keep the investigations going. Meanwhile President Trump keep doing the nation’s business.
I’m certainly hoping the same.
