I recently had this discussion online in the context of sanctimonious Senator Ben Sasse, who never met a conservative he didnt feel compelled to lecture
About a year ago, I heard Sen. Sasse on NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" "Not My Job" segment. He was WAY too much at home, spending his time yukking it up making sideways jabs at his president, his base in NEBRASKA, and hawking his book.
The folks at NPR loved him.

Speaking of "hacks", I saw that clown john kasich on Fox this morning talking about running for President in 2020. My first thought was "This is the guy who polled < 1% nationally in 2016; is he so stupid that he doesn't get the message?".
I guess that must be why a lot of politicians commit sexual harrassment, rape, etc. - They just don't get the message!

Forget it. Many of us stopped contributing to their campaigns, the RNC, NRSC, NRCC, etc., long ago and those who fund their campaigns now own the RINOs “lock, stock and barrel.” There is a reason it costs millions to get a job that pays $174,000 per year and it has nothing whatsoever to do with principle.

I dont think I can be part of a party like this, Flake essentially says, wiping away a figurative tear. But only after realizing that GOP voters in Arizona have decided they don't want him to be part of the party.
