If Astros lose Game 6 then Dodgers will be favored to win Game 7 and the Series.
If it goes 7 Dodgers will win.
He’s the best pitcher the Tiger’s have had since Scherzer left for the Nationals. :^)
The best pitcher the Tigers ever had was, IMHO, Mickey Lolich — in the 1968 series he pitched three complete games, won them all (against Bob Gibson I think) and hit his only career home run.
Because of home field advantage?
I know you’re joking otherwise I would lay into you proper.
Sports ain’t about blue states and red states and you know it. Most jocks, other than NFL and NBA thugs, fall on the conservative side. Always have, always will.
every time it seemed, when he pitched for the Tigers..they never got any runs for him ...man. Very aggravating.
Scherzer has turned into quite the choke artist in big games...his last game, elimination game, he literally melted down. Did the same when he pitched for the Tigers..
Except the fake Connecticut Bushes think they’re Texans, and on the other side Larry “Dingdong” is in camera view behind home plate on every pitch, in LA. Dodgers have had their share time for Astros.
shriveled up old Larry...looks like my grandma sittin there in those box seats...lol
then again...Houston finally took out that crazy ‘hill” they had in center field..that stadiums a joke to begin with...bombs going off...choo choo trains..exploding train tracks...geez
As a Tiger, Verlander lost a lot in preseason as well. As Denny McLain said, during his 30 win season (also 1968), he had no control over his teammates' getting runs. They scored runs off the opponents when McLain pitched and got him the wins.
Exactly right.
they lowered the mound after the 1968 season...pitchers were way too dominant..after that, both McLain and Gibson flamed out..totally different era.
Quite. Most teams have one or perhaps two outstanding arms, and the rest are merely good enough to play in the bigs.
Gibson didn’t flame out.
He also was 34 in 1969 and was 20-13 with a 2.18 ERA.
Whoops, meant “postseason” up there.
I’m serious! Get out of blue state everything!
No. They are saying that a team who wins Game 5 and is traveling to the other teams field for Game 6 has a 62% chance of winning the series. If that team loses game 6 then the odds change to against them.
Not the game for people who prefer a pitchers’ duel !!
*************************************
I think it’s only the old baseball “purists” in the sports media and fans that think a pitching duel is interesting.
That really makes for a boring game for the fans and players.
Similar to a soccer game of 1-nil, or an NFL game of 3-0.
The MVP will be Altuve.
Why don't YOU get out of 'blue state' FreeRepublic then?
You know we're based here in California right? Fighting the good fight here at ground zero? You seem to know nothing about us.
So why don't you just shut up and go away if you hate California conservatives so much? I'm sick and tired of people like you and your stupid BS. I would continue but I don't want to say FU.
