Johnson was born in 1908, so I’m not sure if he would have been of age during the 2nd incarnation of the Ku Klux Klan, the Invisible Empire, in the 1920s but to an extent, I think they were a bit of a fraternal organization.

Robert Byrd was a member, have a more recent version of the Klan had advertisements in Ron Paul’s newsletter?

What does it mean to be in the Klan? Was Harry Trumam ever in the Klan? He might have paid membership dues at one point but was certainly never a serious member. One can look that up.

I have looked it up, many years ago. Truman was a typical member of the klan which was nothing like the modern Klan.

Just about any politician in certain areas were members, that is if they were Democrats.

Truman was also a member of the Pendergast Gang.
