Most of them pay FICA tax. We shouldn't pretend that isn't just the same as paying income tax. All the money goes to the US Treasury.

It’s capped.

And it’s INSURANCE that most workers at that level use fairly often. And most will receive FAR MORE than they contribute.

Those of us who pay Income Tax will make up the gap.

Sure they pay the FICA, etc., but they get that back plus credits when they file!
