Former President Barack Obama has been called for jury duty in Chicago.

Cook County Chief Judge Tim Evans on Friday told county commissioners during a budget hearing that Obama, who owns homes in Washington, D.C., and Chicago’s Kenwood neighborhood, will serve in November. He is registered to vote in Chicago.

Evans says Obama’s safety will be “uppermost in our minds” when he serves. …

He got called for jury duty back in 2010, and the answer was “he would not be able to serve.”

I’m pretty sure the Secret Service will nix that. Having to show up at a predictable time and place repeatedly is bad security. Not to mention the disruption to court proceedings.

No president should be called for jury duty. The security risks for all involved is too high.

Can't imagine any court allowing an ex-POTUS to serve on any jury. Having to deal with Secret Service as part of the jury process seems unreasonable.
