We are a different breed, unique audience, here at FR. We are light years ahead of the average person who tunes into Rush for 15 minutes.Few are in our league.
We already know what he will cover, more or less what he will say, and the end game he is going to. The rest of the audience does not have a clue.!
It's impossible for him to gear his show towards us. If he did his audience would shrink big time. He really can't even take our calls,it gets too confusing for the audience.Talk radio is all about bringing the level of conversation down to where 90-95% of the audience are all on board. No one does it better than Rush since he created the medium.
He has to broadcast to the man from Minnesota with one year of college under his belt.If he doesn't his numbers will crash.
This guy talks about phones like a teenager.
It’s doubly odd because he gets them free (or as good as) anyway - why would he care about lines or delays at retail stores? And what do lines or delays have to do with the phone’s functions which, let’s face it, can never and will never change appreciably beyond their original utility? A smartphone is a wonderful device but its improvements are largely incremental and unworthy of the hours spent on it.
He’s like a kid talking about his baseball cards. Mildly interesting for a minute but hardly captivating.
Aside from the fact that I do occasionally learn something I didn’t know before, and that I have a strong desire to call in and ask for a new one, he could talk about tax cuts and building the wall!
He IS like a kid where these “toys” are concerned. LOL!
Well, you’ve mentioned his other weakness: people calling in and playing dumb to play him and get a free phone.
These teenagers couldn’t care less about learning about politics or economics - they’re a load of chancers trying to score Apple hardware.
