Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta and former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz both privately denied to congressional Russia investigators that they had any knowledge about an arrangement to pay for opposition research on President Donald Trump, three sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
The interviews happened before this week's disclosure that the Clinton campaign and DNC paid for the research. Senate investigators may seek to further question the two top Democrats and dig deeper on the origins of the so-called Trump dossier, one of the sources briefed on the matter said. Their remarks to congressional investigators raise the stakes in their assertion that they knew nothing about the funding because it's against the law to make false statements to Congress.

Gee. We sure missed a bullet when Hillary didn’t get elected. No one at her campaign knows who paid the Russians (through a foreign spy) to influence the election. If she doesn’t have control of her own campaign (and her chairman is in the dark, too), imagine the chaos that we would experience if she were the Chief Executive of the entire country.

Awe, isn’t that sweet. The Left being Leftists, and all quiet as mice, and cuddly little things, silent as a tomb— poor things, unjustly suspected of being ... well, .... LEFTISTS.
I have a feeling Giuliani is out. For good.
Something is going on there. Something not quite right. He is either dealing with health problems, personal problems, political connection problems, or something, definitely prohibiting him from being anywhere within close proximity to Trump.
He disappeared abruptly after a little spray of camera interviews where he appeared dis-interested in possible cabinet posts other than AG. Next thing you heard was him retreating from anything and everything, on account of “complicated financial entanglements” that would take too long to be resolved.
We haven’t seen or heard of him since. Go figure.
In addition to Giuliani’s own firm having Russian government connected clients, RG is also close to TriGlobal Strategic, which has many more ties to the Russian government.
It’s NOT the US Congress that should be forced to ask these questions. It’s not their job.
They should call Session and Wray in front of the Judiciary committee and demand to know why THEY are not getting to the bottom of it. And whether a criminal investigation is underway on these matters.
But as for conducting the actual investigation, that’s something for a US Attorney, Grand Jury and FBI to get done. If Trump and/or the Congress have no confidence in those organizations, they need to clean out that mess.
There is no outside force precluding the DOJ from investigating and bringing the needed charges. It’s ALL within their power. And it’s POTUS/Congress power to force them to so.
Anyone who hims and haws otherwise is clueless or corrupt.
Which brings me to an uncomfortable question for me personally:
Why has POTUS not acted to fix this problem of DOJ doing whatever they please?
See, that makes perfect sense to me. I never did hear or read of specifics of Giuliani’s so called “entanglements”, but who couldn’t read between the lines, right?

It’s all very interesting that nobody knows anything.
