WASHINGTON (AP) A Senate panel narrowly approved the nomination of Sam Brownback to be U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom despite complaints from LGBT rights groups over the Kansas governor's views on same-sex marriage and gender identity.
On an 11-10 vote Thursday, the Foreign Relations Committee recommended that the full Senate consider President Donald Trump's selection of Brownback for the State Department post. The committee also approved several other Trump nominees for ambassadorships. Among them was Richard Grenell to be U.S. envoy to Germany. Grenell would be the first openly LGBT ambassador for Trump if he's confirmed

We put their lives in jeapordy and insult our friends throughout the world (especially w/huge influx of Muzzies in Germany!)
Grenell does NOT wear his GAYNESS on his sleeve....he;s pretty damn conservative!
We wrongly assume because some guys (mostly gay men) are smart, savvy in geopolitics and have great social skills, they are great representatives for America.
That is not the only thing that matters in many, many cultures.
Gay men usually take a gay partner to the foreign country and cohabit with their partners, others pursue a social and love life in other cultures, many times in countries that frown on those activities with their own populations.
The last thing the U.S. needs trying to pursue optimum relations and tossing the gay lifestyles into the mix is the last thing the U.S. needs.
