I really hate to say it, but nothing will come of this. Congress has oversight, but no teeth. And Justice/FBI either won't investigate or will do a sham investigation that will simply dissipate after a time.

I have no faith in any part of our gov't anymore.

Agreed. Congress will grill him behind closed doors so they can find out what he knows, and so they all can work on getting their own stories straight and come up with a damage control plan.
