As I have been warning lately, to all men and boys, you can no longer flirt at all, ever. Anything that is in anyway demonstrating any form of physical appreciation of the female gender can and may come back as an incident of “sexual abuse”. Your actions don’t need to involve anything physical, contact wise. You just dare not ever any more appreciate a female, any female, for any reason other than her mind. Any thing else may be dangerous to your legal status.
You are so right...I mostly worked on large construction projects in camp settings and as an upper level manager, I would NEVER have a female employee in my office with the door closed.
If a female employee, (or an employee who identified as being female) insisted on a private discussion, I would only agree on having it in the break room or in the mess hall at dinner.
I was always aware of the potential of being accused of some manufactured claim of harassment and refused to be set up.
