3 aircraft carrier strike groups in western Pacific ahead of Trump visit
A third U.S. Navy aircraft carrier strike group entered the western Pacific, the Navy announced Wednesday, just days ahead of President Donald Trumps first trip to Asia next month.
The USS Nimitz joined the Roosevelt and Reagan in the region. The Nimitz announcement came a day after the Roosevelt entered the western Pacific.
The deployments came as U.S., Japanese and South Korean maritime forces were conducting a trilateral exercise aimed at improving ballistic missile defenses.
On Monday, Japan's defense minister asserted that North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities had grown to an "unprecedented, critical and imminent" level, requiring "different responses."

“You’re a daisy if you do’’.
Don’t understand your comment.
At any rate, I’m not quite as sanguine as you apparently are about what’s probably coming our way in the near future.
On the other hand, maybe everything will work out just fine.
What is wrong with that?
Depends on North Korea....
“It was 5 to 1, I got 4...”
Hopefully a slow moving freighter doesn’t sneak up on them.
The comment in your post #12 (Free Traitors and gloBULList got us into this situation. I hope all of them shut the hell up.) is what I wasn’t clear on.
Nothing’s wrong with what you said about China trade. Not in my opinion anyway.
I was just saying the fallout that could result from nuclear or conventional conflict could easily get out of control with China, Russia or even Iran joining in the fun. Japan, SoKorea and Southeast Asia are all vulnerable as well.
I understand it needs to be taken care of now. Decades of a foolhardy Congress was content to kick that can down the road. Now everyone must face the music, and there are precious few options.
Bottom line is that war is hell, no matter who is right or wrong, and its apparent inevitability makes me nervous.
Do it now so my kids and grand kids don’t have to worry about the stupid DPRK.
If war does come again to the Korean peninsula, and as much as the NK regime needs to be defeated, a war with China would be a nightmare that would no doubt lead to an even worse case scenario with Russia joining them. Militarily, the China of today, while not the U.S.A., is a far cry from the China of the 1950's.
A real WWIII, even if not nuclear, should be something we all hope, pray and work to make sure never happens.
That’s what I’ve been saying all along - it needs to be done now.
But the blame goes to both Republicans and Democrats in the Congress for putting President Trump in this position.
You seem to want to paint me as a RINO globalist and/or a Neville Chamberlain type. Nothing is further from the truth.
Have you ever known war? Has one of your best buddies lost his sight and a leg because he hit a land mine?
Looks like we have different views on war. So I guess one of us knows something the other doesn’t.
RED DAWN...
A Fav.
Hitlery will also be sorely tempted by a Trump visit to do something nasty.
