This editorial is supposed to refute another editorial arguing that Trump is in good shape to win in 2020, by Doug Sosnik, from Bill Clinton's White House staff. Unfortunately, you have to pay to read that WaPo article, so I have not linked it. I suppose this Bloomberg editorial is arguing the opposite of what Sosnik wrote but I won't pay WaPo.
#1- Yes, the economy might have a downturn at any time. But what would the Dems propose? They would probably present "moral" arguments, while Trump's arguments are based on saving money (and would result in improving the lives of all).
#2- North Korea. Let's see, what have Clinton, GWB, and O done about it?
#3- Dems win the House. Not likely.
#4- Trump might have health problems. Well, I don't see anything serious yet.
#5- Mueller investigation. Starting to lead to Hillary and Podesta.

Well, isn’t ole Al a happy camper?!
Yeah, we might win if North Korea hits us with a nuclear bomb! Maybe the entire GOP will get cancer! Perhaps all the red states will be taken out in a tsunami!

“Trump’s Re-Election Edge Is Greatly Exaggerated”
Just as Trump’s Election Edge was greatly exaggerated November 7, 2016. That would be PRESIDENT Trump, who won by a landslide. :)

Albert R. Hunt and fellow liberal pundits declared Trump would never be elected.
Now they say Trump’s prospects of being re-elected look cloudy. Yeah, sure.
In 2020, they’ll say Trump is gonna be the first sitting President to be denied a second term since GHW Bush.
Like the old saying goes though, “you can’t beat something with nothing.”
And Trump’s enemies have nothing.

Obviously it’s a mistake to assume Bloomberg is conservative because he is rich.

#1 Not if Congress follows Trump’s direction.
#2 Eliminating the North Korean threat would be a positive thing, not a negative. The anti-war peacenik pantywaists that protest such things would never vote for him anyway.
#3 LOL. That’s one is just funny. No way are the dems winning the house or Senate.
#4 Trump’s doctor has already said that he has “extraordinary” stamina and physical strength and would be the healthiest person ever elected president”
#5 More likely that Robert is out of a job before too long.

Nonsense

No. 1: Will there be an economic downturn in the next three years, ending an already 99-month expansion, the third longest in modern U.S. history?...
To lump the Trump expansion in w/ the Obama, ahem, "recovery" is a lie.

I didn't realize he was still alive and/or writing.
I remember him from the WSJ editorial page in the 1980s.
