Till up the garden and let them enjoy the grubs. For cheap entertainment you could set up some mirrors and let them duke it out with their own reflections!
I know that there are wild turkey around Kansas City, but not in the suburbs (that I am aware.) We do have hawks in the day, and lots of owls at night.
