He sang the massive hit “Stay With Me” which was found to be a palgiarism of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down.”

Interesting. I vaguely recognize the name Tom Petty, but associate it with Nascar. I don’t recognize either song title. During the OJ trial I threw out my TV and consciously tuned out all that was Hollywood and the entertainment industry. I went from being a voracious and up-to-date entertainment consumer to absolute zero. It wasn’t sudden. My distaste occurred one song and one movie quip at a time as I recognized more and more that was sold as entertainment had an evil political background that extolled all the things wrong with society as virtues. I am a much happier and, I think, better person for tuning out the trash projected at society as entertainment.

The only unfortunate part is, when the NFL controversy happened I was unable to stop watching as a form of protest. I already had stopped over a decade ago. Damn!
