The motorcade did about 60mph for most of the journey on a sunny day, arriving at the Trump National Golf Club Washington DC in Sterling, Virginia, at 10.52am. A lone protester stood at the entrance holding a handwritten sign that said: Impeach.
The US flag is flying from a tall flagpole in the parking lot, where the tree leaves are a riot of reds and greens. Pool is now holding inside a tennis facility which has framed photos of John McEnroe and Serena Williams at the entrance.

At 10.12am POTUS emerged from the north entrance of the White House wearing a white hat, dark jacket, white shirt and what may prove to be golf shoes, though it was hard to see clearly. Motorcade is now rolling to Virginia.
