Trump: "The Democratic Party Is The Party Of Slavery"
Real Clear Politics ^ | 08/30/2016 | Tim Hains

At a rally ..in Everett, Washington, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump referenced the Democratic Party's role in the history of slavery and racial oppression and said he was proud to represent "Abraham Lincoln's Republican Party."

"Nothing makes me more honored and proud than to be the nominee of Abraham Lincoln’s Republican Party," Trump said.

About the Democrats, he said: "It is the Democratic Party that is the party of slavery, the party of Jim Crow, the party of oppression."

"Our party will fight to bring hope to every forgotten stretch of this country. Once again, we will be One American Nation," he also said.

Transcript, via the Trump campaign:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

DONALD TRUMP: I will not accept, and neither will you, a future in which children of color --any color-- in this country are not fully included in the American Dream.

Our whole country loses when we leave millions of talented, aspiring Americans on the sidelines. We want to give everyone a chance to contribute their full talents to our economy and our country.

Remember, and many people don't know this: the Republican Party is the Party of Abraham Lincoln, not bad! It is also the party of freedom, equality and opportunity.

It is the Democratic Party that is the party of slavery, the party of Jim Crow, the and party of [oppression].

By the way: Is there any place better to be than a Trump rally?

Nothing makes me more honored and proud than to be the nominee of Abraham Lincoln’s Republican Party.

Our party will fight to bring hope to every forgotten stretch of this country.

Once again, we will be One American Nation.

One United People.

And we will have One Really Great Future again.

“Is The Democratic Party Proud of its History of Slavery & Segregation?”

https://www.redstate.com/dan_mclaughlin/2014/09/13/democratic-party-proud-history-slavery-segregation/

At least four other Democratic presidents between then and the Civil War owned slaves, and the Democrats were the locus of national political support for slavery throughout that period.

The Civil War was launched by Democrats who refused to accept the election in 1860 of an anti-slavery Republican president, for a variety of reasons but mainly due to slavery.

Democrats reasserted control of Southern politics at the end of Reconstruction through a heavy application of terrorism by the Klu Klux Klan (in Mississippi in the 1870s, they basically murdered anyone suspected of voting Republican).

For nearly a century after that, the supporters of Jim Crow were uniformly lockstep Democrats, many of them progressives – Woodrow Wilson, the only former citizen of the Confederacy to serve as President and the first progressive Democrat, introduced segregation throughout the federal government, and Franklin Roosevelt regularly received as high as 95% of the vote in Southern states.

The 1924 Democratic Convention, in the race against the arch-conservative, pro-civil-rights reform Calvin Coolidge, was popularly known as the “Klanbake” for the heavy and vocal KKK presence; their nominee that year would go on to argue the losing, pro-segregation side in Brown v. Board of Education.

And that’s before we discuss the federal role in housing discrimination, instituted by a New Deal agency in the 1930s and finally undone by Republican Richard Nixon and his HUD secretary George Romney in the late 60s.

Or the Davis-Bacon Act… The politicians who fought for segregation in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s were uniformly Democrats like George Wallace (who won his last election in 1982, as a Democrat), Orval Faubus and Strom Thurmond (who left the Democrats when he gave up supporting segregation).

Former KKK members in national life included Democratic Senator and Supreme Court Justice (appointed by FDR) Hugo Black, who sat on the Court until the 1970s, and Senator Robert Byrd, who was still in the Senate until his death in Barack Obama’s second year in office.

"The Secret Racist History of the Democratic Party"

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/05/the_secret_racist_history_of_the_democratic_party.html

Interestingly, Democrats have long ago erased these historic figures from our textbooks, only to offer deceitful propaganda and economic enticements in an effort to convince people, especially black Americans, that it’s the Democrats rather than Republicans who are the true saviors of civil liberties. Luckily, we can still venture back into America’s real historical record to find that facts are stubborn things. Let’s take a closer look.

An 1872 print by Currier and Ives depicts the first seven black Americans elected to the U.S. Congress during the Reconstruction period of 1865 to 1877-- and they’re all Republican!

ALL REPUBLICANS

“The Secret Racist History of the Democratic Party”

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/05/the_secret_racist_history_of_the_democratic_party.html

THE KKK IS STARTED BY DEMOCRATS, RAN BY DEMOCRATS

By the mid-1860s, the Republican Party’s alliance with blacks had caused a noticeable strain on the Democrats’ struggle for electoral significance in the post-Civil War era. This prompted the Democratic Party in 1866 to develop a new pseudo-secret political action group whose sole purpose was to help gain control of the electorate. The new group was known simply by their initials, KKK (Ku Klux Klan).

This political relationship was nationally solidified shortly thereafter during the 1868 Democratic National Convention when former Civil War General Nathan Bedford Forrest was honored as the KKK’s first Grand Wizard. But don’t bother checking the Democratic National Committee’s website for proof. For many years, even up through the 2012 Presidential Election, the DNC had omitted all related history from 1848 to 1900 from their timeline — half a century worth! Now, for the 2016 election cycle, they’ve scratched even more history. Apparently, they believe it’s easier to just lie and claim to have fought for civil rights for over 200 hundred years, while seeing fit to list only a select few distorted events as exemplary, beginning as late as the 1920s. Incredibly, the DNC conveniently jumps past more than 100 years of American history!

Nevertheless, this sordid history is still well documented. There’s even a thirteen-volume set of Congressional investigations dating from 1872 detailing the Klan’s connection to the Democratic Party. The official documents, titled Report of the Joint Select Committee to Inquire Into the Condition of Affairs in the Late Insurrectionary States, irrefutably proves the KKK’s prominent role in the Democratic Party.

WHO WERE LYNCHING BLACKS? IT WAS THE DEMOCRATS/KKK

There were also lynchings, but not what you might think. According to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, between 1882 and 1964 an estimated 3,446 blacks and 1,279 whites were lynched at the hands of the Klan.

...Trump: “The Democratic Party Is The Party Of Slavery”
100% right...

If blacks want “reparations,” then they should look solely to the DNC and the democrat party. Democrats enslaved them. Republicans freed them.

It always has been and always be the party of slavery since they make minorities dependent on federal programs and prevent them from exercising their constitutional rights, including the most sacred right to keep and bear arms.

You don't see Republicans wanting to disarm black, but you see Democrat controlled hell-holes where concealed carry and firearms purchasing are almost impossible.

The Democrat Party institutionalized slavery in its platform.

“Will Democrats Apologize for Slavery and Segregation?”

https://spectator.org/63244_will-democrats-apologize-slavery-and-segregation/

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

From Democrat 1840 platform:

Resolved, That congress has no power, under the constitution, to interfere with or control the domestic institutions of the several states, and that such states are the sole and proper judges of everything appertaining to their own affairs, not prohibited by the constitution; that all efforts by abolitionists or others, made to induce congress to interfere with questions of slavery, or to take incipient steps in relation thereto, are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences, and that all such efforts have an inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people, and endanger the stability and permanency of the union, and ought not to be countenanced by any friend to our political institutions.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

1844 platform:

That Congress has no power, under the Constitution, to interfere with or control the domestic institutions of the several States; and that such States are the sole and proper judges of everything pertaining to their own affairs, not prohibited by the Constitution; that all efforts, by abolitionists or others, made to induce Congress to interfere with questions of slavery, or to take incipient steps in relation thereto, are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences, and that all such efforts have an inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people and endanger the stability and permanency of the Union, and ought not to be countenanced by any friend to our Political Institutions.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

1848 and 1852 platform:

“there would be “alarming and dangerous consequences” if serious attempts to abolish it [slavery] were made” is repeated again

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

1856 platform:

Added: with several additional sections added including vowing: “That the Democratic party will resist all attempts at renewing, in Congress or out of it, the agitation of the slavery question under whatever shape or color the attempt may be made.”

I think that’s a good idea. The Democrat reparations would start with draining the Clinton Foundations since half was stolen from Black Haitian Relief efforts.

The Democrat Party...
the party of Slavery,
the party of the KKK,
the party of the segregated south
the party of Jim Crow
the party of patronage
the party of Poll Tax
the party of denial of voting rights
the party of the hidden Soviet agents
the party of the criminal side of trade unions,
the party of kickbacks
the party of the dead voters
the party of the stuffed ballot box

That’s just ... baffling.
What campaign manager could possibly decide “meh, don’t bother with Wisconsin”? Not even a token appearance? A complete write-off? Was it really _that_ “red” of a state?
...and she’s surprised she didn’t win a contest weighted by how many states one wins?

Hillary was expecting a landslide victory, which is why she concentrated on Florida and Ohio at the end of the campaign.

Thankfully, Hillary's ego wouldn't allow her to accept criticisms from others, including her husband who told her she needed to campaign more in the middle of the country the final month of the campaign.
