At a rally ..in Everett, Washington, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump referenced the Democratic Party's role in the history of slavery and racial oppression and said he was proud to represent "Abraham Lincoln's Republican Party."
"Nothing makes me more honored and proud than to be the nominee of Abraham Lincoln’s Republican Party," Trump said.
About the Democrats, he said: "It is the Democratic Party that is the party of slavery, the party of Jim Crow, the party of oppression."
"Our party will fight to bring hope to every forgotten stretch of this country. Once again, we will be One American Nation," he also said.

Lincoln wasn’t elected a Republican in his 2nd term. It was the Union Party.
Democrats:
Were the slavetraders in the 1600s/1700s.
Went to war to keep their slaves
Created Jim Crow laws to keep the ex slaves down
Created the KKK to terrorize the ex slaves
Fought against Civil Rights legislation
Imprisoned Japanese-American citizens during WWII
Dropped two nuclear bombs on Japan
Started both the Korean and Vietnam wars
Oh, but they’re the party of peace and love.
The South did want to keep USA the same natural kind via naturalization.
Simple history.
I remember him going to Washington state. One of my early hopes that he might win was the visit. He was going to places that Republicans had not won in DECADES.
The only place I remember Hitlery going that was unusual was Arizona, and that was in the waning days of the campaign. The media praised her for boldly going into a red state.
Prediction: whoever the Demon Rats put up in 2020 will go to deep red states like Utah, Texas, South Dakota, Mississippi...and the media will shower them with accolades for running a “50 state campaign” and being “courageous” by “expanding the electoral map” blah blah blah.
Heck, they MIGHT even get Dubya to campaign for them...
And this one major reason why many of us support Donald Trump.
He speaks the truth from the Bully Pulpit, and do they ever hate him for it.
When you receive flak, it means you are over the target.
