I believe it was the 2012 election when the democrat party openly admitted that their strategy from then on was identity politics pure and simple, and the white voter could go screw himself. Article in the Slimes or maybe the WaPo iirc. I remember Rush commenting on it.
It worked sort of, against Romney, but bit them in the ass in 2016.
Ever since the election all these one hit wonders have been bouncing up to the mike to share their insight that the white voter isn't dead after all and they might want to attract some of them. What a bunch of einsteins.
