The Cadillacs: "Speedo"

This 1955 song, which straddles rock and R&B, shows how early rock and roll was simply the blues speeded up. To keep the musical line together, the bass man sang "wop-wop-did-a-dip," which disguised the fact that the lyrics were just the usual three lines of the blues.
