If we can’t ban bump stocks, we should at least pass Universal Background Checks! /s

I have an idea. Let’s not ban anything. We won, remember? Let’s act like it.

Go ahead.
Ban bump stocks.
We’ll sue.
SCOTUS will rule they may be banned because they are not suitable for a militia.
Then we will sue to buy M4s.
SCOTUS will have to rule they are suitable for a militia and this overturn 922(o).
And machine guns will be legal.

The NRA is simply a lobbying group, with lots of high paying salaries blowing wind every day to soak the gun loving public.
I used to be a member, my dad was a life member. In the 90’s they tried to negotiate with the “assault weapons” ban, and were willing to give up certain things. They lost me then.
Now, the bump stock. Don’t own one, probably never will. But I have no issue with them. All they do is make your finger pull the trigger faster. One finger pull, one round fired. Legal. Period.
The NRA wasted no time in throwing bump stocks under the bus. Didn’t even try to stand up for them.
When they come for high cap mags, the NRA will be there, offering them up as a sacrifice. Then semis. Then “sniper rifles”, etc. etc.
