If I recall correctly, Eisenhower, Nimitz and Halsey were of German ancestry.

Reinhardt (69th Division)........ (Bolte had it before one of the Reinhart brothers, the one who linked up at the Torgau on the Oder with the Russians)

Halsey was mostly of English ancestry, descended from colonial settlers in New York and New Jersey. Pershing was partially of German ancestry, being descended from German colonial era ettlers whose descendants migrated to northern Missouri.
