I was reading that article, and nothing was specified about munitions. The phrases “something startling” and “danger to life and limb” were given hyperbole expansion by the left.
An urgent Whitehall search of the records was ordered. The Ministry of Defense said they could find no evidence to substantiate the rumors of a secret munitions store. …
Thirteen paragraphs in. As usual, innuendo and one-sided sourcing from the Manchester Guardian.
