According to a report from AL.coms John Sharp, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will not be supporting Alabama U.S. Senate special election Republican nominee Roy Moore in his bid to fill the seat formerly held by Jeff Sessions.
We have a process for non-incumbent races and plan to follow it in Alabama, Scott Reed, the senior political strategist with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said in an email to Sharp. A candidates stated priorities and positions on economic issues have great weight with the U.S.C.C. and the Alabama business community.
The Chamber had invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in the Republican primary for Moores opponent Luther Strange and had a billboard advertising campaign promoting President Donald Trumps support of Strange in the lead-up to last months GOP primary runoff.
The group also has urged Congress and Trump in recent months to quickly pass an immigration plan that would reportedly not only allow 800,000 illegal aliens to obtain a pathway to U.S. citizenship but could also trigger a wave of chain migration.

The USCC should do what ever is necessary towards becoming disappointed.
This is not a surprise. The Chamber is the enemy. The Chamber is the Globalists and George Soros and the Democrats.
And what might you be referring to?
More appropriately, the “U.S Chamber of Communists”.
I wonder what position the state and local Chambers of Business are going to take re Moore. If he wins, he’s be out for revenge big time, esp. if he gets a seat on any Finance/Appropriations or Tax committees.
Might have to rename them the “U.S. Chamberpots of Commerce” because they are full of crap.
They want cheap labor to flood the country and they trusted Luther Strange to do that for them, but they don’t trust Roy Moore.
And then there’s the harsh reality that the business elites support liberal views on social issues and don’t appreciate Roy Moore’s conservative views and his willingness to resist the imposition of liberal social views.
Or perhaps the “Chamberpot of Commerce”.
The U.S. Chamber of Communists who hate America, so to embrace their privileged monopolies.
The propaganda arm of CEO America turn out to be ignoble dirt bags.
Gee, what a shocker. NOT! The Chamber of Commerce is part of the establishment and we know how the establishment feels about Roy Moore.
The U.S. Chamber of Cheap Labor wants their underclass of slaves, the destroyed middle class. Your managers hate you and prosperity.
The USCCC is not Conservative nor Republican! I never joined the CofC...
“Mainly, theyre addicted to cheap, illegal labor. I guess they live in gated communities and their kids go to fancy private schools.”
Thanks - I think that explains it all. The large companies generally cannot afford the risk of Illegal labor, unless they’re able to legally distance themselves from it in some way (as in “hey, we didn’t hire those Illegals, our contractor did”). Smaller companies know that enforcement will only come to them last...so they make out like bandits.
Perhaps the way to bring the Chamber back to the Republican side, ironically, is for Republicans to actually try supporting their base, which means ending the goodies (like jobs) associated with Illegal Immigration and put labor on a level playing field. Then the Chamber can decide if they want the party of low regulation and Right to Work, or if they STILL want leftists running the country.
This is more evidence that Judge Moore is the right man for the job.
