Well, I don’t believe that. For one, if it was Hughes, Schneider would just come out with it since he’s dead. Secondly, Hughes was actually one of the few directors who was a conservative.
It’s interesting that the usual cast of idiots starts naming Conservative (or at least rumored to be Conservative)show business types right off the bat, instead of left wingers. Sandler and Hughes have the reputation of being at least middle of the road if not Conservative.
