President Bush negotiated with Saddam Hussein.
Step down or be invaded.
Give up the Pueblo for “free” and we’ll talk.
This week we will find out a lot, about North Korea’s potential for working things out.
South Korea and America will hold drills this week. North Korea is currently setting up missiles (at least that is what some reports appear to be saying), and this could be quite destabilizing.
I understand North Korea is feeling the need to match point for point. But I think they should stand down this time, and do nothing.
They are getting very near to the trip-line now, it seems to me. Admittedly I am not military, but I really think we are very close to a “that is enough” point with North Korea. I think they should stand down now. But I am not sure they will.
Just saying. Think it over Kim.
You made your point. Things are rapidly getting near to escalating out of control.
You can ramp it down a bit.
Trump’s posturing - - which I like - - has an awful lot to do with this:

Of course it’s lost on the American media, which can’t get past the lint in their own bellybuttons.
Trump has been negotiating with Norkea but principally with China for months already. You don’t have to sit down to a table with a diplomat’s sash on to effectively negotiate.
Bad idea. We don’t need one on one talks with NK. That’s what the Norks have wanted for 40 years. Once we abandon the 5 party talks the other regional actors will lose interest and it will all fall on us. Even Dubya was smart enough not to walk into that trap.
