I think most psychologists are nuts. That’s what attracted them to the profession.

The ones i saw in my college days sure were wacked out

I have known only a few psychologists in my lifetime all of whom were connected with a university. I even took a couple of classes under them. The students all thought it was interesting in that they each, and all, appeared to exhibit mental problems themselves.

"I determined long ago after being immersed in the Psychology culture that permeated Gainesville Florida, that Psychology , the entire field, is a fraudulent profession and a fraudulent science. It is not even a “soft science.” It is arrant nonscience."

It appears that many of them prefer to do psychotherapy, so yes. But there might be some benefits from rational emotive therapy.

Psychiatrists are mostly not frauds, delusional, but not really frauds. They believe in their profession.
Psychologists are frauds. They studied a fraudulent subject in college and practice it fraudulently. No profession that is so avid for fads as a schoolgirl clique can be a serious science or even actually believed in by its practitioners.

You are absolutely right!

People have told me that shrinks have a high suicide rate.

They should be careful what they wish for.

Sorry. Let me reword that.

It appears that many of them prefer to do Freudian psychoanalysis, so yes. But there might be some benefits from rational emotive therapy.

I watched and resisted at least three serial fads flame through the Psych community in GVL in less than two years in the 70s. These sound like more fads. It is the most fad ridden occupation on the planet.

It’s called fighting back, and the Left is utterly unaccustomed to conservatives doing it, so the poor dears are having a hard time adjusting.

A group of psychologists and mental health professionals...

Those people should get into another line of work.

The present one probably doesn't pay to good, for them.

The thing about psychologists is.... three quarters of them are bat-sh*t crazy themselves.

When I saw the headline I thought it was a joke...

These people are idiots.

Unfortunately, bad psychotherapists are not at all rare.

Once when I was young I thought psychology was interesting.

Then I wanted to see proof that mothers were the origin of schizophrenia. Proof like controlled studies, etc. Funny thing was there wasn’t any proof.

Then I though psychiatry was interesting. Same problem. Then I understood that deductive reasoning wasn’t part of either discipline. It was mostly fake science based on allegations, etc.

So I became a microbiologist, worked for and earned two terminal science degrees, then finally years and years later I became a family nurse practitioner. Ahh ohh, same problems as some thirty years before. Like Sgt Friday said, “Just the facts, M’am. Just the facts.”

Psychologist and psychiatrists have few “facts”. And then I read “A really good listener is just as good as a psychiratrist”. Well, gee whiz. That’s what I thought all along!

I thought there was a prohibition about making psychological diagnoses without ever having a direct physical contact with a patient.

Oh, that’s right these are liberal/progressive/dimocratic shills.

In a rational world these shills would have their licenses to practice pulled after some very heavy fines. But then ....
