Secretary of Defense James Mattis flatly denied that President Donald J. Trump ever requested ten times more nuclear weapons. He also says that Secretary Rex Tillerson never called the commander-in-chief a “moron", reports the Washington Examiner.
"There was no discussion with that tone or that content that I recall in the Pentagon or at any other time," Mattis told reporters during an impromptu visit to the Pentagon press area. "I will even remove that I recall. I think I would recall a conversation about doubling or ten times the nukes, Okay. I've never had that discussion."
"If I had gotten word like that I surely would have asked for a meeting to go back over and say whether or not I thought it was good idea," Mattis said.
As to whether or not Rex Tillerson actually called President Trump a moron, Mattis denies that as well.
"I was right there so anyone who says that he called someone a moron, I mean, I was there with him the whole way and that never happened," Mattis said.
Earlier in the week, Trump jokingly told Forbes that he and the former Exxon mobile CEO would have to compare IQ tests to test who the real moron is.
"I think it's fake news, but if he did that, I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests," said President Donald Trump, “and I can tell you who is going to win."
Journalists took this comment seriously, leading White House Press Secretary to tell members of the press to "get a sense of humor."
"Again, he wasn't questioning the secretary of state's intelligence. He made a joke," Sanders said. "Maybe you guys should get a sense of humor and try it sometime, but he simply made a joke. He's been extremely clear time and time again, despite the fact that you guys want to continue to bring this up. He's got 100 percent confidence in the secretary of state."

And they’re not going to stop making $h!t up. They’ll continue knowing that the average American hears the first round on a story and doesn’t do any research to find out what was going on. It’s the “where there’s smoke there’s fire” routine - and over the course of his presidency he will be essentially destroyed like W was, only in Trump’s case, they’ve taken it to a new level. They aren’t going to stop - they have nothing to lose at this point.
I blame the American public for all of what is going on with the media misbehavior - the public is too lazy to know - that is KNOW what is going on in their constitutional republic. They don’t take their responsibility seriously - I offer as proof 2 terms for Clinton and 2 terms for Obama, DemocRat controlled congress, and on and on.
I’ve pleaded with my House Rep (Trey Hollingsworth) to fight back, that this is war, etc. I get a newsletter from him once a month filled with pablum about Medicare and whatever. Never a word about supporting our president, what he’s doing to expose and stop corruption in DC. He’s better than a Rat but he’s not a change agent.
Several years ago I had a face to face with then Congressman Pence about pushing back on ‘Rats and he was all for it ..... yeah .... whatever....
I’ll have to find a new tactic I guess - I’ve run for office and I’ve tried talking directly with my elected representatives. I could beat my head on a wall and get the same results - I guess their plan is working.
Mattis/Kelly: Take them to the woodshed and give them a smacking they will remember.
