“When the reimagining is complete, it can be said without exaggeration that nothing of the famous battle or the 189 men who sacrificed their lives will be visible to visitors of the historic site. Texans who wish to honor the dead, and their stand for Texas independence, or young men wishing to see Jim Bowies knife and Col. Traviss letter, will have to go across the street and into a basement where the real story of the Alamo is to be stuffed away like yesterdays garbage.”

George P needs to be sent back to Florida where he can busy himself looking for the fountain of youth or whatever.
Leave history alone.

I don't know, but it seems like these two hit the same branches falling out of the tree.

Yeah, I keep hearing the ad all the time on the radio. It’s part of his campaign, his political campaign to get re-elected. They’re using a guy with a really rough Texan-accented voice in an attempt to sound like the Real Thing. It’s so phony it’s sick. If I disliked Bush before I really dislike him now. Also it claims that the Alamo is surrounded by a “strip mall”. The hell it is! That is an outright lie.

Looks as if he could have fought on the wrong side... Makes my blood boil, and I don't even live in Texas.
It's still a party of our nation's heritage, my heritage.

Well, if they are determined to go in that direction, why stop at Mexico? Mexico stole that land from the Spanish, who stole it from the Apaches and the Navajos, who stole it from...
You can keep going as long as the history books will allow.
