I always laugh...because Holiday means “Holy Day.” The Happy Holidays greeting goes way back...many late 1800’s-early 1900’s postcards use the greeting...more so than “Merry Christmas”.

Agree with you, though...annoyed that saying Merry Christmas is now somehow offensive.

If people pronounced it “Happy Holy Days” that would be nice. Also could pronounce “Christmas” as “Christ Mass” instead of “Crissmus”.
