A few years ago we went to Kenya to see several of the National Parks.While there we had a guide named James who was outstanding in every way.We based ourselves in Nairobi so the drives to the parks were long ones during which James and I talked at length...about many things including politics.

Long story short,James (who told us he was Christian) went on and on about how bad Somalia and Somalis are..how much damage Kenya,and her individual citizens,have suffered thanks to Somalis.

His words are confirmed by advice that just about every Western government (US,Canada,Britain,etc) gives its citizens regarding travel to Kenya."Don't go anywhere near Kenya's border with Somalia" they say "the risk of terrorist attacks and kidnappings is huge".(not an exact quote)

In fact,that despicable attack that occurred in Nairobi a few years ago (the Westgate Mall Attack) was carried out by Somali jihadists.
