Props to Senator Paul for his contributions to getting this done! He could have been a purist and said it wasn’t enough but he has been working for a long time now to inject just this little bit of free market competition into the market.

Indeed. i think it was Paul and or his staff who discovered how to broaden the interstate health insurance association rules under the old ERISA law and bring it to Trump’s attention.
I can’t say enough good things about Rand Paul, particularly when it comes to trying to dismantle obamacare and rein in the Federal Reserve.
He is a purist, and this is a great purist move. it costs nothing, or virtually nothing, moves insurance closer to the free market, and keeps Congress from transmogrifying Obamacare into Trumpcare.
