Yep, absent an impeachment. The seats on the court are not shiftable, you are appointed to a specific seat and only that seat.
An ordinary traitor in an extraordinary position.
Rehnquist voted against the reduction in the sweeping power of the RICO Act.
His explanation was “This law is not TOO unconstitutional!”. My husband actually heard him say this on TV years ago.
Rehnquist took an oath to support and defend the Constitution, and then knowingly voted against it.
WOW! Missed that. Thanks for the heads up!
Which one?
United States v. Russell???
Will read more tomorrow. Bedtime.
Dog woke me up at 3:30 this morning to go pee. When she does this it means it’s gonna start raining in the next half hour. And it was. She’s done this dozens of times. Trust her more than I do internet weather reports. LOL!
Don’t know the name of it, but it was the one that involved RICO. He was in the minority, and he whined about it to a reporter that it was “not too unconstitutional”. My husband said Rehnquist looked distraught about being on the losing side.
YEP...
Merrick Garland thinks unlawful combatants should be able to sue contractors involved in interrogations. Lot of money in litigating on behalf of foreign terrorists, evidently.
he’s been owned for sometime...
McConnell can go sink on one of his ships....
We got a winner...
Not totally sure but several years back Roberts adopted one or two sons from Ireland or some European Country and did some serious "legal shortcutting" which if revealed and investigated could cause the adoptions to be denied and he could legally lose the adopted children.
I first heard this when he became the deciding vote in the Obamacare deal proclaiming Obamacare to be legal because it was a "tax" according to the final Supreme Court vote.
It was never reported by the MSM that I know of.
Starting? They had him from the start. The question in my mind is whether Bush knew that when he nominated him. If so, just like Daddy, he tried to sabotage the SC with both his initial nominations.
Nope. His is placing an Obama nominee in a key position.
