My father arrived in Pusan on August 3, 1950 with the 1st Provisional Marine Brigade on the USS Henrico. He was attached to the 8th Army 24th, 25th Infantry division and moved to Masan and Miryang to run collection points for the Graves Registration Service for the Battle of the Naktong Bulge in the defence of the Pusan Perimeter. After Inchon he followed the 8th Army all the way to PyongYang North Korea and back.
