Nationalist bomb thrower Steve Bannon trashed the choice of Mike Pence as Donald Trumps running mate calling the socially conservative Republican the price we pay for winning the support of the GOP establishment, a new report said Tuesday.
Bannon and Milo Yiannopoulos, the political provocateur and former technology editor at Breitbart News, shared their dim view of the former Indiana governor in emails obtained by BuzzFeed News.
Seems like a bad pick. Should I tweet something ambivalent about him? People are telling me Trump likely didnt want this. Whats our party line on this? Yiannopoulos wrote to Bannon and Breitbart editor Alex Marlow on July 15, 2016, the day Team Trump named Pence as its choice for veep.
This is the price we pay for cruzbots and #nevertrump movement. An unfortunate necessity very. feel free to do whatever u want. we, as always, will remain above it all, Bannon replied, shortly after he signed on as Trumps campaign manager.
Two days later, Bannon approved a column by the gay Yiannopoulos asking Pence an evangelical Christian who wont meet or dine with a woman unless his wife, whom he calls Mother, is with him to attend a big gay party for Trump.
Im cool, Bannon wrote of the story.
Its a little mocking but we want to turn the screw, Yiannopoulos answered, according to the website.

I’d be happy to sit down over a Hudepohl at a Reds game to discuss the good and the bad about Mike Pence as we Hoosiers came to understand him as Governor of Indiana. For the most part, his political philosophy is in the right place, but he was lacking in execution.
Explain to me how being nice and compromising has worked out for America in the past few decades?
I cant. It hasnt.
I rest my case.☺
I never disagreed with that. VP choice can be tricky. Trump could have done worse, actually.

Keep in touch.
Pence is a steady Eddy, no real highs, no lows...that is a good feature in my book. Many more pros than cons.
Well, I’m fairly certain that there are folks on the “new right” who aren’t particularly fond of Christians, or the religious in general. But that does not include the folks I mentioned, who are not only fighting for Trumpism at home, but also to save Western Civilization, ie Christendom, from the three evils of mooslim barbarians, PCism, and Marxism.
Bannon’s 2014 speech at the Vatican Conference is dead nuts on. (http://the-american-catholic.com/2016/11/18/remarks-of-stephen-bannon-at-a-conference-at-the-vatican/) And shows great admiration for Christianity.
Bannon and Cernovich (and virtually all of the new right) strongly endorsed, and in Bannon’s case, campaigned for Judge Roy Moore in Alabama - a conservative Christian politico if there ever was one.
Nolte is a practicing Christian, and quite conservative.
Milo is a flaming homo, but he also is a staunch supporter of Western Civilization, in the same vein as Geerts WIlder. He’s a male version of Ann Coulter and a provocateur, but I’ve never heard him say one bad word about Christians.
Cruz is the establishment? They hate him! Hes true to the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus.
Agree. Pence is fine as a right hand man. I would not vote for him for President. He would be in total lockstep with Ryan and McConnell.
