Nationalist bomb thrower Steve Bannon trashed the choice of Mike Pence as Donald Trumps running mate calling the socially conservative Republican the price we pay for winning the support of the GOP establishment, a new report said Tuesday.
Bannon and Milo Yiannopoulos, the political provocateur and former technology editor at Breitbart News, shared their dim view of the former Indiana governor in emails obtained by BuzzFeed News.
Seems like a bad pick. Should I tweet something ambivalent about him? People are telling me Trump likely didnt want this. Whats our party line on this? Yiannopoulos wrote to Bannon and Breitbart editor Alex Marlow on July 15, 2016, the day Team Trump named Pence as its choice for veep.
This is the price we pay for cruzbots and #nevertrump movement. An unfortunate necessity very. feel free to do whatever u want. we, as always, will remain above it all, Bannon replied, shortly after he signed on as Trumps campaign manager.
Two days later, Bannon approved a column by the gay Yiannopoulos asking Pence an evangelical Christian who wont meet or dine with a woman unless his wife, whom he calls Mother, is with him to attend a big gay party for Trump.
Im cool, Bannon wrote of the story.
Its a little mocking but we want to turn the screw, Yiannopoulos answered, according to the website.

Im call my wife your mother frequently
And Im a hellion prior womanizer
So I dont think Pence calling his rib Mother is much to swoon over
I’ve just always thought that, before becoming part of the 2016 ticket, Pence had more in common on the issues with Paul Ryan than with Donald Trump. He’s just being a good soldier, but definitely does not need to become CinC.
I was never that high on Jack Kemp. Always seemed more rhetoric than action to me. Not sure who would have been the ideal running for Reagan in those years, but picking someone who had been at odds with the presidential candidate in the past on critical issues is potentially a recipe for disaster.
Pence has been more loyal to Trump than just about anyone else, including Trumps own family. The general opinion in Indiana is that Pence is Trumps puppet. But, as VP, thats what hes supposed to be. So is the rest of the cabinet and bureaucracy, but we see how thats going.
...
Agreed and a good influence...
What are the rino characteristics some of you are referencing...i don’t see any?
Kemp opposed CA prop 187. That’s all I ever needed to know about him.
He was forced on Trump, as Bush was forced on Reagan. The first sitting Veep with his own PAC? He is a RINO Trojan Horse.
I may agree with some of his personal morality, but I do not trust him - ethically or politically.
Yep. Kemp was Ryan’s mentor.
If you were listening to Hannity just a bit ago, Newt explained how you have to make nice sometimes to get things done. It seems Pence was a necessary compromise.
You are absolutely correct. Pence was THE pick for vp.
Explain to me how being nice and compromising has worked out for America in the past few decades?
Many so-called fiscal conservatives do and have for decades.
Even Rush Limbaugh admits how they have complained to him about the Christian right at hoity-toity galas going back to the early 90s.
Bingo! Post of the Day!
Yep, I think Kemp scored more points than he deserved talking about "enterprise zones" and "entrepreneurship". He just kept those going for years, but when he became Dole's running mate in 1996, he added little if any additional support and appeal to the ticket.
Explain to me how being nice and compromising has worked out for America in the past few decades?
Start with decades of lawless open borders, many trillions in debt et al.
You are DEAD WRONG about Hannity. You have it exactly opposite. What he says, he believes. He is one of us through and through. While Rush Limbaugh doesn’t seem to be able mentally to get past his rah rah Republicans cheerleading, Sean DAILY dares to express that they are the enemy of the People (he uses the term forgotten man and woman) of this country. In some ways worse than the out front libs. Sure, he will talk to them. He has 4 hours of on air talk shows a day! But he is no paid off hack like some others.
Hannity cares deeply about the truth no matter whom it upsets, and he nearly lost his job just this year over it. He is not in love with money. He is not the type. He admits he is way overpaid. He loves his work and he definitely wants to see this country out of the hands of the globalist leftists. Trump needs to succeed for us to have a chance.
Of all the people to call paid off clowns in today’s media scene, you pick the ONE GUY who is so definitely not. He gets the most important points for our side onto tv every night, and pretty much NO ONE ELSE DOES. Only his audience, desperate for truth, keeps Fox holding onto him. We will support his sponsors and ditch those who ditch him and he is killing it in the ratings.
Sean is a bulldog for our side. The original poster was right.
NY Post? I drop a Big Media in the commode every morning, that has more value and utility than this article.
Hannity is like listening to a political Radio Disney. Come on.
Look, I’m not Newt Gingrich and I wouldn’t sit on the couch with Pelosi. But you can’t say the man didn’t accomplish a lot for his side! And Pence may have helped Trump win, and perhaps he still does in the sausage making world of politics. I’m not a fan but at least we have President Trump.
One more time.
Explain to me how being nice and compromising has worked out for America in the past few decades?

>>Another BULLDOG should succeed Pence in a 2nd term. Experience no longer necessary. My bulldog? How about Hannity?

Hannity is clean and is actually brighter than I originally thought. I think very highly of Sheriff David Clarke. He gives outstanding, Reagan-esque type speeches and responds very forcefully and accurately when the Swampster Media tries to bully him.
What you mean is that Hannity hammers points home to his audience that really quick, up to date political savvy people already know. He repeats them. Maybe listening to him isn’t for you. But he damn sure helps teach the truth to a lot of people who are busy working or caring for others and catch a segment of his show. He wakes people up. And I am sort of aware politically and I get good stuff from his shows as well even if the matters or points are not always new to me.
He’s got so much energy and guts and the fact that he is rock solid NOT “phoning it in” or “acting” and collecting that pay is why he is so beloved. Plus he’s got that hockey player fight in him so we need him on our side. Look at all the scared pansies we have.
