I thought we had an owner who wouldn’t cave with Jones until his ridiculous stunt a couple of weeks ago. Other than Goodell Jones is the most foolish looking character in this whole mess.
Maybe he’s learned his lesson. Let’s give him the chance to prove it. And if he lets them pull any other crap, that is just another way to express disrespect, then I’ll be the first to call him a hypocrite and liar.
As a businessman, i think he realized he made a huge mistake. He knelt because he wanted to keep his players (now he realizes he might lose his business.) Rep. Matt Gaetz (R) Florida is introducing legislation to take away their tax breaks. Others are crying to take away their antitrust exemption. Last year, their tax break (which you paid for) was 6.5 billion. Why? Let’s prove to these people that they work for us as entertainers - not politicians. People go to games to escape that crap. Jones realized (probably too late), that he screwed the pooch. The players are athletes, paid for their performance. If they want a stage, they should go buy their own damn stage.
