I used to like football. Even back in high school when I couldn’t understand jocks and their behavior ( :-) ), I could appreciate the talent it takes to play and excel at that sport. I was always asked to join the team, but I preferred enjoying my time away from school as much as possible. Plus I lack the coordination to do anything outside of walking (maybe running if I’m having a good day :-)).

These days, any time I see the word “football”, I want to projectile vomit and/or hulk smash things.

Back in the early 90s, a football player *might* get away with avoiding an underage drinking citation ONCE where I lived. There were no second times as far as I knew.

These days, these idiots are pretty much immune to discipline unless the borderline retarded coach (that’s sadly trying to recapture his youth) yells at them.

It’s only football too ... In some instances a basketball player might be immune, but the entire football team seems to get away with murder anymore.

I hope the sport is brought back down to earth. As I said, I don’t hate the game ... I hate what it’s become.

I never much cared for football. I have always liked baseball but not the professional level except for minor league ball. I love that and I can afford to go sit in the bleachers and watch a game.
