Security guard shot before concert shooting began
On Monday, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo announced a change to the sequence of events that occurred on Oct. 1, saying a security guard who encountered Paddock was actually shot at 9:59 p.m. local time, minutes before the 64-year-old unleashed a hail of gunfire on unsuspecting concertgoers.
Previously, authorities had said that the security guard, Jesus Campos, was shot after Paddock had opened fire on the crowd below.
Lombardo said Campos immediately reported to hotel security that he had been shot. However, responding officers did not know Campos had been shot until they arrived on the 32nd floor and encountered him, Lombardo said.
It's unclear what ultimately led Paddock to stop shooting at the people below. Officials had originally thought that Campos distracted him.

I heard the Sheriff say Campos was not shot - he was hit by sharpnel from the shots - like a part of the door - hit him in the leg. It was not a bullet. Don’t know what happened to that story.
This is one of those things that is so crazy. When exactly was he shot? He said that he was shot when he approached the door after Paddock started shooting. That narrative might support the 200 rounds through the door. Yet, the new information is that he was shot BEFORE Paddock started shooting from the window, not AFTER he started shooting. This needs to be cleared up!
Was the guard in on it?
The press conference today confirned Jesus Campos was shot first.
Confirmed too. Kind of nuts the suspect shot the crowd after Campos.
Sheriff Lombardo today:
"In close proximitiy of Mr. Campos being shot "there was also a maintenance worker that presented himself on the 32d floor and Mr. Campos prevented him from receiving any injuries."
Sheriff also said security guard Campos heard "drilling" when he was on the 32d floor investigating a door that was ajar down the hall from the shooter.
He was walking around directing the cops until the cops insisted he get treated. That’s the story I heard. I don’t think he is in the hospital.
The FBI needs to be shut down.
Ok, thanks. Thingw move very quickly before people can find what the truth is.
If this scenario is true, the muhammed(s) would escape by going UP the stairwell, not down 32 floors.
That is because floors 35-39 are the Four Seasons Hotel, owned by the Saudis. This is where the Saudis go when they are in Vegas.
The muhammed(s) may have double crossed Paddock and made him the fall guy.
Seriously President Trump drain the FBI swamp! Good start with Comey scum! More disinfectant needed!
Notice that none of the lazy, corrupt hack presstitutes roused themselves to ask in the press conference today whether the second hotel room with the broken window (32-134) was taken by Paddock or by the Australian guy Brian Hodge who said he was staying in that room.
Someone did ask the Sheriff whether Paddock checked into MB on the 28th as first stated by LEO or on the 25th as later learned by citizen investigators and he confirmed it was the 25th.
Shot approximately 10 minutes before Paddock started shooting, according to this information.
Confirmed suspect was checked in the 25th but suspect was not staying in the room for a few days. What’s up with that?
As a casino employee, he’s blocked from talking to the media at the moment...like the rest of them.
Was that in today’s press conference?
No
...but then why would the guard lie about what time he got shot?
The shooter rented two rooms, both shot out windows were in rooms he rented.
I’m going to post this link here for reference:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/05/us/las-vegas-mandalay-room-below.html
It’s a detailed interview the New York Times did with the guy staying in 31-134, right below the room with the second broken window.
He could hear the shooter firing out of the window right above him, and then moving to fire out of the more distant window, and then coming back and firing out the window above him. Said he could hear debris hitting his own window.
One thing I’ve never understood is how Paddock could monitor the cameras he set up to see people coming and at the same time be shooting out the windows.
Or were there two shooters? While Paddock shot out of one window, the other watched the surveillance cameras. Then the other guy shot for a while, and Paddock watched the cameras.
