Longtime Republican donor Foster S. Friess said Monday that he is exploring a 2018 bid for U.S. Senate in Wyoming, making him the latest conservative figure to consider challenging Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), a low-key member of the leadership.
Normally, over the years, Ive dismissed these urgings, Friess said in an email to The Washington Post. But due to the stature of the people requesting, I sense a responsibility to prayerfully explore the possibility.
Friess added that he is partly motivated by his concerns about the nations health-care system and his desire to see health-care providers publish prices. Those concerns, he said in the email, might be enhanced by a position in the Senate.
Friess, 77, did not specify who has encouraged him to run, but a person close to former White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon said the two men have had conversations in recent days.

Senators are supposed to represent the interests of a state. That was weakened by direct voting for senators, but still they were at least supposed to be representing the state in theory.
Anyone thing this guy, or Prince, or any other carpetbagger will walk in the door deeply committed to that state? No, they will see the state as an admission doorway to the Senate where they can concentrate on their own national goals.
Dishonest crapweasels.
Liz Cheney at least had some long ago family ties when her Dad acutally lived here and was the U.S. Congressman at large. The rest of these jaybirds got nothing!
“Exactly, look to Bannon for direction. I will support whoever he endorses.”
I wouldn’t unless they were a bona fide Wyoming citizen.
That carpetbagging scheme gave us McCain, Hillary, and god only knows how many others. The absolute height of politician arrogance is to move somewhere to be “their” political leader on day one.
Its an insult to that state.
Amen!
PRIMARIES ARE THE WAY TO GET RID OF RINO’s
“This guy looks like the real deal:”
If he was the real deal, he would be fighting for his home state of Wisconsin and working to replace the democrat Senator there. Moving somewhere he has never lived, or maybe even been, to be the new Senator shows he doesn’t have the slightest idea of what the Senate was meant to be.
I’m telling ya’ Mayor- this is the year to run in a primary!!!!!
You and Carl both.
Here in Texas we need someone to run against Cornyn!!!
John Cornyn, whom most “think” is a strong conservative, is not up for reelection until 2020.
I’ll support any Wyoming candidate that offers to let me shoot prairie dogs on their estate.
“Ill support any Wyoming candidate that offers to let me shoot prairie dogs on their estate.”
Finally...a voice of reason.
A rating from the NRA, voted to cancel Iran deal. Against Obamacare. I haven’t seen him attack Trump.
He certainly isn’t a big problem worthy of bringing in some NWO tool like Prince or this donor from Wisconsin.
Talking about the Wyoming guy of course. Not Cornyn. Id like to see Cornyn tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.
You mean 2018
PRIMARIES!! this year and next
Carl should go public with his suggestion on primaries too
