I do appreciate your judgment on the Iraq side of this. I have little in the way of contacts there. Most of my sources of current affairs there are from the Syrian Kurds.
I do know a couple of couple of well informed US military vets who are on Twitter with me and comment regularly, an Ezidi who I’ve know a while who is in Iraq, two Iraqi pro Christian groups who posts on Twitter, and a writer for a news source in Iraq who I have some exchanges with.
Must admit, it is a challenge to try and understand all the various elements. It is impossible to keep track of the Jihadi’s that are left. The morph or molt daily.
The big pain in the rump, consistently comes from Turkey and Iran.
