The Las Vegas gunman fired hundreds of rounds, including at one point 90 bullets in 10 seconds. Such bursts of gunfire will have shocked many, especially outside the US, but everyday Americans own these powerful weapons too. This is important. How many actual gunshot wounds? How many of the dead were actually shot? How many of the “wounded” were just trampled?

If the guy bought the biggest, baddest 4 x 4 Pickup Truck he could find and proceeded to drive down the Strip mowing down hundreds of people crossing the street, would we be discussing how much Horsepower it had?
How people cannot comprehend the fact that Human Ingenuity combined with Evil cannot be combated by simply making new Laws that do nothing but impact the Freedoms of Law Abiding Citizens is amazing to me.
According to the Las Vegas Review, the killer used one window - from which almost all the glass was carefully chipped out - to fire at the fuel tanks.
Then, he used a second window - from which just a small portion of the glass has been haphazardly smashed out - to fire on the concert crowd.
It will be interesting to hear the final conclusion as to why he did that.
Also, I'm surprised that no one on the ground reported chunks of glass falling from near the top floor.

The things that cause mass casualties typically involve new tactics that were not widely anticipated...
Truck bombs; suicide bombers; suicide commercial airliners; rapid fire weapons used from an upper floor window on an open air concert.
Perhaps - but what value does that rate of fire have except to either waste a lot of ammo or strafe a dense crowd?
That is not the point. I was just commenting on the article analysis that the bump device was not getting it to full automatic. Just a technicality point, that is all.

I’m there with you. Way back in time, I was heartbroken when Yul Brenner died. Henry Fonda and John Wayne as well. There were giants back then, mostly wimps these days.
