It is a little known fact that the Soviets planted moles in various places where they could exert a lot of influence: higher education, the news media, and the entertainment industry.

I used to listen to Radio Moscow on shortwave. It is more than a little concerning to me when I hear the exact same flavor of propaganda parroted by modern “news” organizations, college students, and so forth, who have no real understanding of the propaganda that they parrot or the strategy behind teaching them to be little useful idiots. There is some irony in the fact that while the USSR is gone, its propaganda machine rolls on.
