“Loose.. tight... and a warm...” was Butz. He was one of the last straight talking Democrats.

He also nailed it when he put an earlier Pope in his place. Even if you agreed with that Pope on birth control, you have to admit Butz’s response “He no playa the game, he no maka the rules” was a game winning spike that was impossible to return.

I think all of us are right on this. LBJ, earlier than Butz; but it just might have been something that they all learned elsewhere. Some “redneck” somewhere South of the Mason-Dixon line could have been the source.
