According to the Daily Mail yesterday, Stephen Paddock had become obsessed with Geary Danley.

I think there is the potential that Geary Danley “steered” and manipulated Stephen Paddock to do “something big” for the cause of progressivism. The LV massacre was, let’s face it, a huge blow against the 2nd Amd, which proggy’s hate like the devil hates Holy Water, because it’s the final brake on their plans to force socialism upon us “for our own good.”

"Keep your eye on GEARY DANLEY, Marilou’s ex." Had to Google him. Here's one thing I found. The Everipedia article dedicated an entire section to what it alleged were Danley’s political views:

That’s interesting. I found it odd that Geary would make brief comments on Marilou’s fb selfies ... “Beautiful”, etc. IIRC, these comments were made when she was with Paddock, but unable to verify as her FB account is now private.
