The conservatives were “Ok” on Reddit until the election really heated up and all the Trumpers were almost banned everyday or suspended. Highly unusual because I was there for 5 years. The mods just got mad because their candidate Hellary got trashed almost daily there.

You don’t like r/The_Donald on Reddit?

I browse there a certain amount, although I don’t yet participate. It is exclusively pro-Trump, so they don’t get to do battle directly with the left, but some good stuff gets posted there (along with a fair amount of spammy stuff).

p.s. Welcome aboard on FR!

I signed up to Reddit just for r/the_donald some time ago and spent a fair amount of time there during the election as well as during key controversies afterward. It's a fun place in small doses, is my takeaway. Being such a non-stop rally atmosphere gets to the point of wearing on me, and while I'm glad that the majority there appear to be at least half the age of your average FReeper, there's a bit of naïveté and gullibility that comes with that. I think that's what keeps me from spending more time there. It can be pretty wild when the Chans are up to something and that's especially amusing, although I've harbored my suspicions and don't necessarily trust “them,” whoever they are. Seems like it's ripe for manipulation, and they've not always been pro-conservative. There will come a day when they're not again.
